Finland has prepared for their Russian neighbours
renewing their agression at the border, by installing
1300 metres of 4 metres high fencing with barbed wire
in big coils along the top, movement sensors, microphones,
and cameras all along the length of the longest border
between the newest NATO country and the Russian Empire.
The Fins have installed one advance that was unxpected:
in this new ground level boundary - monitored animal gates
have been fitted along the fence for the many bears,
and furry quadropeds, who have no interest in passports,
or the nation state. So they may pass through boundaries
that they would otherwise not know how to navigate.
