That is where I want to go,
because I want follow where my rubbish goes,
now that China has ended importing the waste
the world used to send it, unsorted, 'for recycling',
that, naturally, never happened.
In the ancient world waste was natural, and was easily,
if slowly, returned to the state it started life as.
But in the world of chemicals and synthetic compounds,
the alchemy of modern plastics excludes the means
of returning the results back to their original form.
Since 2018, when China bowed out of receiving
the worlds waste, Malaysia has become the place to go
to discover how the alchemy of the modern world
is not being reversed to its original materials.
You can read more about it here and find many other reports about it.
