Living on Northern Ireland as I do,
my best friends are those who as they speak
keep the ends of their words intact, like I do.
Many more I meet who speak the local accents
more readily breath in towards the end of their words
such the when they speak they seem to swallow the ends
of their words, making listening to them guesswork.
I have no explanation for this continued mistimed inhaling,
but I know that those breath more easily speak clearer too,
and living with this engineered half hearing draws some in.
But it can be quite draining.
