Nationalism has always left me blank
and the further back the patriotic event
that the nation is celebrating happened
the more mystified I get, as to what it is
that I am meant to be happy about.

I prefer the French solution;
celebrate the past of the nation
through the names of different streets
and avoid the modern media repeats
of inaccurately told very old stories.
