to be more creative with money
than he was in his art,
in which being slapdash
and making use of serendipity
was the height of his creativity.

He never knew how long
he did not have to live.

tells us to labour and conceive-
and not be delivered-

so whatever we do
we are trim in the weave
of the Emperor's New Clothes.

For all that it will hurt us
it is better to see, than not
how capitalism 

compounds violence and want
into the love of money
in scales that faith without sight
does not want us to imagine.
