Beyond Embarassment

Jesus was never embarrassed by anyone who met him,
not even when his followers aspired but lacked faith
and therefore could not follow his commands as he meant to.

Like Jesus, I will not feel embarrassed for myself,
for what I have done, or not done when expected to,
nor will I be ashamed for my lack of normality.

Bad or good,
I'll live with who I am,
as will those around me.

For all that it will hurt us
it is better to see, than not
how capitalism 

compounds violence and want
into the love of money
in scales that faith without sight
does not want us to imagine.
