Mismanaging

free will is very difficult,
it takes a life time,
if not many, to get it right.

Did We Invent God

whilst overdeveloping ourselves
as complex multi-tasking beings?
God is being who is omniscient,
omnipresent and omnipotent.
Ontologically speaking
that must be the ultimate in multi-tasking.

In more deferential times
God used to be the person
with whom the most able people
dominated others with,
and preferred to be compared,
and take cover behind
when their aim proved further
than their reach.

Man may be the measurer,
and God the ultimate measure
but I still say my life is no more
and no less than the sum of it's days.

Science

is about scientists finding phenomena
before each other, the better to claim fame
in the nomenclature, and to align themselves
with the evolutionary human arms race
that called itself Progress.

The Generosity Of Scientific Publishing

All talk and writing of genes 'being selfish'
is surely empty rhetoric, given the generosity
required by the media and the publishing industry
to get the message of such 'genetic selfishness'
out to a public who see the generosity in the message.
If the public had to reason that genes were that mean,
they would expect the genes to be
secretive about it towards the scientists.
