Is the new phrase that describes
Urban Mining is the latest name
given to recycling activity
as done by my country's treasury,
amongst others, in their pursuit of gold,
retrieved along with other precious metals
from computers past well their use-by date.
Gold never goes out of date,
nor does information,
but information storage devices
are like second hand cars,
when new models come out
with splashes of advertising
old models seem tired and pointless.
getting rid of the past usefully
takes more effort than it is worth.
