Deceptive Listening

The distance between dyslexia
and an accidental pun is deceptive,
as many dyslexics has discovered
when they say something different
from what they heard in their head,
but their audience like what they said
sufficient that it would embarrass,
all concerned to hear the words
'I meant to say something else, instead.',
never mind the dyslexic then saying
what they originally meant to say
and simply losing the moment.
