Our Nearness To Absence Is As Close As We Get To Life

A meanness of spirit is a good start
for making a man wealthy
and quenching all he touches
of it's inherent generosity.

But it is a poor substitute
for the better life
where our impermanence
quickens how give 
-the nearest we have
to a grace for those around us.
