Many a time humans experience
the cheap grace of manufactured pleasures
in which the pleasure wears out
rather faster than the product does,
and the circumstance and situation
in which we consume it drags on.

Humans are experts in boredom
through mistrusting their senses
and their dexterity with language,
in favor the latest mass media
short circuit/sound bite.

Let our boredom be the recognition
that we should retreat and rest,
do less in the pursuit of a more durable
and sustainable sense of pleasure.
