From Charles Darwin to Monsanto In A Few Easy Steps

'The Survival of the fittest'
was a phrase coined by Francis Galton,
who was a cousin of Charles Darwin,
initially to summarize Darwin's ideas
in one reductive and effective phrase.
Like many such phrases it missed the point
-fitness for life is proved much more
by adaption where what you rely upon
survives than it does by mere proclamation.

Words are like wars, proof of egotism beyond belief.
If you need proof for this, consider how Francis Galton's
rhetoric helped found the eugenics movement.
Galton started by mis-breeding cattle, then dogs
and more, until his words mis-bred with each other.

Capitalists sure see those whose energies they abuse
as sub-human the way Francis Galton once did.
Genetically Modified Capitalism anyone?
