When I was young
I often heard the phrase
'let the dog see the rabbit',
as an order from an adult
for me to back off,
and give them the space
to see what was going on.
Now, as an adult myself,
and in these post hunting times,
I like to try to imagine that
'the hare can run with the hounds'
and they threaten each other less
without the big people in charge.
