The Beginning And End Of Sensation

Some days I feel that I am nothing more
than a bundle of hyperactive nerve ends,
which as they fizz conspire to suggest
they are they sum of me, whilst also implying
that I am more than the sum of their parts-
not that they have a label for what this state might be.

They are too busy fizzing,
or damping themselves down,
to be bothered with matters
of clear definition.....

Being Parented

is the Pandora's Box
that every child opens
and wishes did not exist.

The Most Generic Advice

always comes from the largest organisations
and it is inevitable that it is the most patronizing,
 pat, and dishonest set of words anyone dares devise.

We don't have to be cynical
about International Corporate Values
Corporations will reduce their values for us.

Entropy

destroys everything that is not itself.
It disguises its implacable force through a slowness 
which bypasses all human awareness.....

recently wrote to this blog, privately,
and said that I would achieve much more
if I refused the credit for what I wrote.

I wondered what an achievement was
when it had no credit, or sense of process,
and no credited author acting behind it? 

The Wheel Deal

It is as true of driving as it is for life;
the faster we go the more we miss.
The less we see, the more our speed
and hope of a destination becomes our blinkers.

To travel hopefully should be hope enough.

Stress

is to humans what gravity is within planets
-both are forces that shape life,
and both stop everything being lighter
and more floaty, whilst making entropy
seem like an irresistible force.
