Overly Sub-Standard

Everything 'superhuman'
is so much less than human,
in it's effect, and it dilutes humanity,
not that humanity has much to be proud of.  

Is It Pride

to hide from prizes for modesty?
Particularly when others choose you,
for said rewards come
'Because you have earned them'?
Most likely it is
a well thought out mistrust of nomination.
