My Online (Past) Life

I signed an online petition
and the petitioner wrote back to me,
starting with the phrase
'You too can be be part of History'.

I deleted the message, unread.

I decided that I would rather have life in the present
than be part of some anonymous strangers past
-I have had enough of those already.
