Heaven Vs Earth

In Heaven God is always preaching to choir
who are always praising the unique theology
in his sermons,
when they can get a word in edge-ways.

If I did not hope for better
I'd say that such circular behavior
was the ultimate example
of The Stockholm Syndrome.

Meanwhile on earth
the churches have to learn
to not talk just to themselves,
but listen,
to learn to love their enemies,
and further find out
where and how to be useful. 

Against Nietzsche

Ask anyone with PTSD,
and the many other conditions,
which are not illnesses,
that damage the individual
beyond their means to resist
through sheer pressure.

After being presses
they require long term help
if they are to survive; they will say

'What does not kill you does not make you stronger.'.

But with the right support
survivors of these conditions
sometimes feel glad to be alive.

In Heaven

Everyone present except the host
is a happy parasite, put there
by a naturalising but alien grace.
