Measuring Heaven?

One of the ways I fail to apprehend
the modern world is when people talk
and write in unqualified superlatives
about the idea of intensity, declaring
that their latest experience of this
and that 'was their best time ever'.

It is a given that certain experiences
don't just have no unit of measurement,
but make it required that rating them
out of five or ten is the nearest
we get to being objective.

Then there is quality of something being immersive,
e.g. when the arrangements and tunes
of a piece of
classical music are performed
with enough empathy to please the ear
of the sensitive listener. All that can be asked
is how faithful were the players to the score?
Everything beyond that is beyond measure.

And wherever Heaven is, it has no units
and is not a place where measuring is apt.
