It is a popular misconception
that we can buy an effective obedience
through the ownership of one person by another.
It becomes further misconcieved when call it 'Love'.
When on the name of jealousy and secrecy
we block the exits of those we say we love,
should we be surprised when they respond in kind?
It happens all the time. Much rarer to find
are the riches in the companionship of equals.
Honesty gives the free choice of staying or leaving,
and choosing the right distance from which to connect.
