Calmness Takes Time

Humility is an attribute rarely displayed by converts,
keen to prove their conversion to a given system,
the better for further conversion to said belief.
But when a believer has believed long enough
to take Faith seriously, but not literally,
and knows from the inside their own absurdity-
then they find the generosity in their belief.

The Overloaded Elevator Of Life

From when we are growing up the end of our sentience,
when we are helped the question we have to ask ourselves
is 'Is this leg up or a kick down?'
The young are easily flattered-the younger they are
the more everything they are offered is helpful.
We are slow to see when the help we receive
is a bigger leg up for them than it is for us.
If you are small enough, then a leg up seems
the only way to go. But the bigger we get
the more we are programmed to seek gain,
and the more we have to lose.

The more competitive the society
the greater the distance there will be to fall,
the more likely we are to find people
hiding how they want to push us down.
The wider awareness starts with how we can
resist all this and make being the same as others,
and try to reach for greater commensality.

As A Mistake

I feel it is only right for me to wonder,
and want to know definitively,
for the good of others whose lives
are more clearly built on intent,
which part of me is the most mistaken?

The Strength

and quiet pride of domestic slaves

in Greek and Roman times came from

how they knew their masters 

better then their master knew themselves;

the servants had to, to survive the system
from which they mostly had no release.

 

Just as they had to hide what they knew
to have the self and life they had, 

outside the beliefs of their masters.
