Never Trust The Media

To help you believe in yourself
-when it fails or gets bought over
by some cheap millionaire
who is on the make
in the pursuit of power
then how shrunk you feel
will be no loss for him.

But it will matter to you.
So take care to enrich yourself
by more than whose opinion
you choose to read.

When Choice Changes Nothing

the impetus could be well meant,
but it is most likely
that the presentation behind it
was either advertising in disguise,
political spin,
or someone pretending to be wise
-the easier to fool the unwary. 

Glory

is usually lied for
more than died for,
and rarely lived for
in the hope
of honest reward.

I Admire Non-Violent Action

but I am not a pacifist.
I have seen the calm of pacifism all too rarely,
but in it I have glimpsed wholeness and ease.
The public peace declared in the times I was conceived
was merely a very thin cover.
I have lived through the echoes of too many wars,
repeated too many times where if I thought
to create ease and space where winnings were shared
and there was no loss. Whenever I suggested this
in the past it became proof to others of my violence.
