The New Driverless Vehicles

The Christian apologist C.S. Lewis
never said 'You are a soul, you have a body',
even though it is often miscredited to him.
It is a paraphrase of one of his favourite writers
the Victorian fantasy writer George McDonald.

We now have society and faith structures in collapse,
in the face of highly dilute definitions of community.
'The soul' is no longer an essence that outlives the body
but some shouted emotion which blunts our intelligence.

Now, with the recent accumulated misuse of information,
I fear we are viewed as animals without a central drive;
fleshy automata to be defined be what we deny each other
and the deeper the denial goes the less we know what it was.
