And so I spoke up for all
that I thought I was worth,
sometimes unsure of myself
but taking at face value
that what I thought I heard
implied that I was listened to
and there was value enough in that.
That was a long time ago,
when I could not work out
how easily a life can be made
to be less than the sum of it's parts.
Nowadays I blog instead,
and the words that I write
are to myself first, whilst I wonder
who nowadays listens well enough
for their hearing to make sense of the world?
