Thought For Valentines Day

When folks choose which newspaper
they want to read, they choose the news
which has the views which they agree with.

When folks bond, and 'fall in love',
they choose a person who is different to them.

They choose each other because of their differences.
This is shown to be at it's best when lovers live
to maintain each other's differing opinions. 

The Science Of Disproving Vanity

It is common to say 'I believe in science'.

How much science would it take,
to find the percentage of those
who in all humility actually believe
in the science process,
with all its equivocation and doubt,
vs the rest who simply like feeling right,
whilst believing that everyone is wrong?

What can we do with the folks
who only want science
to (ap)prove of their vanity?  

When 'Good Manners' Mask False Relations

I have never understood
the kind of people who think
that pushing others to be alone
will cure them of wanting company
less often in future,
as if sociability is the acme of life.

Be alone if you wish, enjoy company too.
But choose your company-just your own
or other people's by open agreement.
Let other people choose for themselves.
