Life In The dark

What we call 'Magic'
is mostly a lack of light
cast over the everyday processes
that we rely on for living.

If we saw too clearly what we were doing
then either we would choose be scientists,
a recent and very tricky vocation to follow,
or we would disown what we only half knew
in the assured hope of blissful ignorance.
