When Size Matters

The problem with teaching competitiveness
is that the teacher always has to be bigger
than the taught, and when small pupils
grant themselves the superiority over others
that they imagine their teachers have over them
then the teacher is every right to be scared
and ask; 'When my pupils exercise power
over people who are weaker, and more tender
than they are, will they have the same humility
that I once aspired, or presumed, to have?'.
