Filmed Pornography
is the oldest form
of 'reality entertainment'
known to man,
it is the preferred viewing
for those who need
to be conditioned
into being surprised,
by Predictability.
The first film was made in 1896. The mass entertainment and porn film industries grew simultaneously from then on. As befits it's covert nature, porn was much less celebrated and far more easily buried and forgotten with the arrival of The Talkies, in the 1930's. But the power of the draw of scripted voyeurism, which porn earlier encouraged, transfers very well to reality television, which came 100 odd years after the first film.
